This Blog owes the Selectmen an apology!

They FINALLY did the right thing by agreeing that they have to hold the special town meeting that the voters petitioned for, they also admitted that selectman Sapia, and Moderator Polito and Town Administrator McAllister were wrong in their assertions that there would have teo separate town meetings at a cost of over $5000 each. For this we thank you.

However this victory comes only after a protracted meeting with Town Counsel Sumner Kalman, in which he informed the ne'er do wells that they HAD to call for the meeting. They had no choice under the law! Something this blog has beend saying from the start. But kudos to the selectmen in any case.

Now if they can kindly explain why they only traded ONE cruiser on the two new ones instead of the two that they were supposed to, We would be happy. Maybe our officers would not be having accidents in the police station parking lot if we did not have at least three extra police vehicles parked there. According to the accident report one of the drivers was the chief? if so, why did he refer to two officers and not own up to his mistake? Would that be the very same fatal character flaw that has cost the town over $100,000 in lawyers fees? His refusal to admit a mistake?
